I'm “Healthy Heather” Fuselier: a WellCoaches Certified Wellness Coach and ACE Certified Personal Trainer specializing in holistic wellness for individuals and families with compassion, practicality, and client-focused solutions.

As a health and fitness enthusiast, I came to professional coaching after years of finding myself in the role of cheerleader, navigator, and at times, pants-kicker for individuals in need of a can-do attitude and emphasis on greater health through life balance. I now work professionally with clients to achieve a range of goals including weight reduction and management, stress management, life balance, and tapping into the incredible power of visioning, proper goal-setting, and achieving progress, not perfection.

You can find me speaking to community groups about creating sustainable healthy change in their lives, read my writing about raising healthy and active children, or join in my work creating healthier workplaces in Tallahassee, FL as Past-President of Working Well, Inc. a non-profit organization that helps companies design and deliver effective employee wellness programs. An avid runner, clean eater, and weight lifter, I also blog about my own health journey every week at www.wellnesswithoutpity.com.

Client Testimonials
Achieving a healthier lifestyle is not a solo gig. I am honored to have traveled with some incredible people as they blazed their path to wellness!

Erika's Story
Take it from someone who’s been dieting in some form or another for more than 25 years: Heather Fuselier is the best lifestyle/wellness coach a woman (or man) could have, and if you’re willing to do the work, she will change your life. But first, she’ll shut down every excuse — and I mean every excuse — you have for not achieving your goals. That’s what she did for me, and I’ve lost almost 60 pounds as a result.

When I met Heather, I was carrying 220 pounds (an all-time high) on my 5’4” frame. I’d always been overweight, and as a working mother in my late 30s, I didn’t exactly have time or circumstances on my side. I knew I was ready to take responsibility my health and start changing my body, but I didn’t really know where to start. With her trademark combination of compassion and toughness, Heather helped me cut through the clutter of diet and fitness mythology (Just take the stairs!) and negative self-talk. First, she helped me clean up my eating and disabused me of the notion that nutritionally bankrupt food qualified as a “treat” or a “reward.” Whenever I complained or felt deprived, Heather listened patiently, reassured me that the feeling would pass, and then asked me if I’d planned my workouts for the week. It’s not that she didn’t sympathize, because she knows from personal experience how hard it can be to ignore the siren scent of waffle fries. But if I was seeking an enabler, I’d come to the wrong place.

When I moved on to complaining about the workouts, she reminded me that a) changing your body through regular, vigorous exercise is supposed to be challenging and that b) I would never regret completing a workout. I couldn’t run for a full minute 18 months ago. Thanks to Heather’s guidance and encouragement, I completed a 3K before my 40th birthday. I realize that isn’t a record-shattering distance, but as someone who always thought of running as something far beyond my capability, I felt like I’d won a medal.

Even when I didn’t believe in myself, Heather did — and it made all the difference. I am thinner and in better shape than I was at 30. My relationship with food and exercise has changed radically, and I no longer leave clothing stores in tears or avoid being photographed. For the first time in ages, my goals seem achievable. When I began this journey in earnest, Heather promised me that the short-term discomfort of pushing myself would be worth it in the long run. She was right, and I can’t thank her enough.

Charlotte's Story

I got a wake-up call when my husband was diagnosed with high cholesterol. I felt like at 31, we were so young to be in such terrible shape. I knew we needed Heather's help so we asked for her recommendations and help. Thanks to her guidance, we were soon preparing healthier meals, exercising together, and feeling so much better. I soon asked Heather to design a workout for me, and added strength training and intervals to my exercise program. I joined a friendly fitness competition at work, and after 10 weeks my team won!  I was hooked, and I felt like I was ready to tackle the Warrior Dash race. It was amazing to push my body to the limit and feel good about it.

I truly feel that getting healthy literally changed my life. I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome at the age of 28 and had to take fertility drugs to be able to get pregnant with my first two children. PCOS is believed to be fundamentally caused by insensitivity to the hormone insulin. I am sure that by changing my lifestyle I was able to successfully manage this condition with diet and exercise.

By eating clean and exercising I was able to change my body, and I was incredibly surprised when I found out I was able to get pregnant on my own. I feel like I won! I want my children to grow up making good choices about the food they put into their bodies and I want them to embrace exercise as part of their daily lives. I want to be there for graduations, weddings and grandchildren and I want to be there in a healthy, strong body. Now I know I will.
